Sue Foulkes tutorial

Sue Foulkes has an excellent video on weaving on a double slot rigid heddle.

The same patterns can be done on a double hole loom as shown here as well as a wider loom with a single set of holes and slots. Sue has a wonderful tutorial in the files section of the braids_and_bands yahoogroup.co.uk on how to warp similar patterns on a loom with a single set of holes and slots and the double slot loom.

This celtic knot pattern is asymetrical so one needs to pay a bit more attention to the pattern than with a symetrical pattern. Most of the patterns I have woven so far have the opposite pattern on the reverse so it surprised me to see that this one seems to show the same pattern on the back - - if one gets far enough away to see it.

SPRING HUNTING

The kittens were born last October so had never seen robbins. A flock landed in the field and the kittens left off trying to catch flies to lie in wait for an unwary robbin.

Meanwhile the real work was getting done by the chickens who were rototilling the garden.

The kittens needed a rest after all that excitement. Then it was back to hunting - - turkeys this time.

PAINTINGS AT THE COCOON

Some of my oil painting will be at the Cocoon by the Hawley, PA Silk Mill for the next two months. It is very nice to have the opportunity to show there.
