My new toy!
Fred made this tape loom for me. There's one in action here:
I am in the process of getting acquainted with mine.
Tape looms go back at least to the 1400. There is one pictured in the Codex Manesse.

TINY SWEATERS! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
These little sweaters are mostly from free patterns here http://www.berroco.com/knitbits/knitbits_218_H.html
I am not great at picking up stitches neatly. So I tried one sweater in the round - the red and white one - - where I kitchener stitched the three shoulder stitches on each side and then didn't have to pick up stitches for the neck. There were also fewer ends to worry about when changing colors. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!

MARGINALLY FIBER RELATED
Fred made these catapults for the grandkids for Christmas. Obviously we needed ammo that would be okay to use indoors, because like everything else Fred does, these siege machines were done RIGHT and are quite powerful. I made little balls of wool roving knotted into pantyhose and stuck them into the washer and dryer to felt them for the indoor-ammo. They work great!
