More hats and flowers

August- - and I have been thinking of cooler weather - - enviously!

The hats are either from patterns in Charlene Schurch's book Hat's On or inspired by that book.

The black eyed susans look great in the garden. This is the part of the garden where there are fewer weeds. The weeds have been doing very well this year.

There are ominous quantities of green tomatoes and grapes that will soon be ripe and need attention. I planted some small yellow watermelons and small muskmelons this year. With all the warm weather and rain, maybe something will come of them.

Where do you find all the time?! The hats are gorgeous. I ended up frogging back on the one I started and then set it aside and did two afghans for a friends grandkids. I did get a pair of mittens done while in PR with the wool I got from you. Of course everyone looked at me crazy for knitting wool in 90+ weather on a tropical island but they came out nice so I don't care!

What lovely hats! I think I might try something like that this fall. I've never done colorwork. Do you think these would be a good way to start?
